Pilot22 Group was formed and named for my love of flying. Years ago, I was introduced to joy of flying small planes. I began taking flying lessons and quickly earned my Private Pilot License. With license in hand, I joined a flying group where we jointly owned several airplanes.

With flying, I learned there are significant similarities between a successful flight and running an IT team / project. I was amazed at how much of what I learned from flying translated into my day to day work as an IT Leader.

Proper, comprehensive planning is critical to successful flights, high performance IT teams and successful IT projects. In each case you need to know where you are going and determine the best way to get there. You must also take stock in your resources (equipment and people). Making sure you have the proper resources, that they are "flight worthy" and ready to perform. Once in flight, a good pilot / leader is constantly monitoring the plan and making the appropriate adjustments to ensure the desired outcome. At the end of a flight / project, it is always important to do a proper debrief. Constantly looking for ways to improve your performance.

A Little About Me

I am a trusted, innovative leader with a focus on creating IT investment strategies that are business-driven. I have worked for a number leading global companies including Sanofi, Biogen, SonyBMG, PepsiCo, AutoNation and Deloitte. I exhibit a proven ability to develop and execute critical IT strategies and improve / strengthen corporate governance by providing strategic insight into critical business technology issues. A strategic thinker and mentor with an operational mindset. Experienced member of executive leadership, well versed in enterprise wide, innovative and transformative technologies.

Known for establishing IT as a strategic partner and for leveraging new technologies such as, big data techniques, mobility and social media to drive new ways of operating.

I am passionate about making a difference in people's lives and love to work with great IT people in delivering value in industries that share my passion. Organizations that focus on improving the lives of others is where I want to add my experience in delivering business solutions.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two children, assisting my daughter with her charitable community (Carli's Angels) as we raise awareness for Hydrocephalus. I also enjoy hiking and coaching high level youth basketball.

I currently reside in the greater NYC Area and am open to traveling during the week.

 



Summary Of My Career Accomplishments
  • Defined and implemented key commercial IT strategies to drive business value, including the selection of various SaaS solutions (Veeva, Workday, Reltio, Coupa)

  • Leveraged emerging technologies to deliver advanced commercial capabilities (Veeva, Reltio, Hadoop)

  • Led new product "Patient Experience" digital initiative, transforming the way we engaged with patients. Initiative drove most recently launched product to a market leadership position in just over one month

  • Created turnaround situation in logistics resulting in over $5 Million in annual savings

  • Designed and managed the creation of a combined North American IT Group, post-acquisition

  • Led integration of two multi-billion dollar enterprises, including staff, ERP and HR solutions, post-acquisition

  • Developed leading-edge Information Management strategy, including Customer Master Data (Reltio, Hadoop), to drive critical business decisions and measure enterprise results. $20 Million investment reduced time to deliver valuable business insights by over 80% while increasing the ROI on both internal and purchased data assets.

  • Mentored team in the creation of a transformative IT organization including operating and governance models

  • Managed software development team in Singapore resulting in the successful roll out of solutions (Finance, Marketing) in over 10 countries

  • Defined and implemented key governance and operating model structures to drive customer engagement and satisfaction for a NA Pharmaceuticals IT budget of over $110 Million

  • Launched digital products and services including social media website and e-commerce with zero downtime

  • Applied Agile software development, quality assurance and stress testing protocols to prevent critical defects for e-commerce, social media websites and desktop entertainment product

  • Co-invented products granted provisional patents
